The Ukrainian Art Song Summer Institute 2022 will be a unique, dramatic experience limited to 8 professionals/emerging artists/graduate and upper year undergraduate students that will further develop their skills in singing classical song while introducing them to the beauty of Ukrainian art songs. Participants will benefit from five days of master classes, teaching materials and intensive one-on-one coaching by our professional faculty, culminating in a public, showcase performance at the Royal Conservatory's Temerty Theatre. Through the creation of their own original performance, campers will work with professional teaching artists to hone creative skill and explore various areas of the performing arts, culminating in a final showcase for family and friends. No previous experience with music required.

JazzWorks Summer Jazz Camp is open to adult community and professional musicians and talented youth. JazzWorks offers two distinct yet compatible programs. We offer a residential three-day Jazz Camp, which includes workshops, vocal intensives, combo practices, jazz theory & history, masterclasses, jam sessions, performances and more!

Unique in Canada, the Composers' Symposium / Practice Retreat has two options: participants can work on original compositions and perform them with professional musician-educators, or choose to get away from everyday commitments for three days of intensive practice time. No Strings Theatre announces Georges Bizet's Carmen for its SummerStage 2023 opera YAP intensive for all ages. Following a highly-successful summer program featuring The Marriage of Figaro, No Strings Theatre and Opera by Request will be partnering once again for a summer production of Bizet's Carmen, sung in French, with the original spoken dialogue rendered in English, directed by Gregory Finney. Other performance opportunities will include a recital and cabaret show, and rehearsals will be supplemented with several masterclasses. In addition to Mr. Finney, instruction will be offered by Denise Williams (No Strings Theatre) and William Shookhoff (Opera by Request), as well as artist-mentor Ernesto Ramirez and guest instructors Marcia Whitehead and Julie Nesrallah.

No Strings Theatre, whose aim is to develop, empower and inspire the next generation of performing artists and Opera by Request, that performs all manner of operatic repertoire decided by the participants, present their 3rd collaborative season of summer opera at the MVL Farm. This summer's choice will be the well-loved, The Magic Flute by W. A. Mozart, sung in German and with English dialogue. Once again our director will be Gregory Finney. Masterclasses with invited international industry professionals and artists mentors, opera excerpts and an opera pub round out the program and further enriches the experience for international emerging artists. Mozart's The Magic Flute also involves youth in the cast and a chorus, so there will be something in this program for all ages to enjoy!
