Oriana SingersOriana Singers offers exceptional music experiences for the public through the presentation of choral works, from early music to Broadway, pop and contemporary, commissions and premieres with an emphasis on Canadian content.

The Choir comprises about 60 auditioned voices under the baton of Lynn Janes, noted music educator, soloist and prize-winning conductor, accompanied by pianist, organist and composer Robert Grandy.

Oriana Singers assists in the professional development of area musicians who are featured as guest soloists and instrumentalists, and through collaborations with other cultural organizations. Music education opportunities such as workshops are offered to the broader community, and the Choir maintains a searchable database of its choral library, with scores available for loan or purchase.

The Jubilate SingersThe Jubilate Singers is a mixed-voice auditioned choir of 30-35 voices under the direction of Isabel Bernaus. The choir includes in its repertoire world music sung in original languages, orchestral choral works, and 20-21C choral pieces. We present three concerts a year, plus two community appearances. Our 2024/25 season will include a collaboration with the Wychwood Clarinet Choir and an Ontario mini-tour of "Roots and Intersections: Musical Traditions from the African, Jewish and Muslim Diasporas" with Denise Williams and guest musicians. We rehearse Tuesday nights. Interested singers are encouraged to sit in on a rehearsal and book an audition, if desired. Exultate Chamber SingersExultate Chamber Singers is an auditioned group of 30 skilled singers who perform a wide range of chamber choir repertoire, both a cappella and accompanied, including many works by Canadian composers. Enriched by its members’ strong musicianship, varied ages, cultural backgrounds, and academic and professional credentials, Exultate forms a passionate, committed ensemble.

Under the direction of artistic director Mark Ramsay, the choir presents an annual four-concert series. In addition, the choir commissions and records new works, collaborates with guest artists, and supports aspiring young music professionals with singing, conducting, and composing opportunities. Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings at St. Thomas’s Anglican Church, 383 Huron St. An online application is available on our website.

Toronto Mendelssohn Choir 2023Marking its 130th anniversary, the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir stands as one of Canada’s most celebrated choral groups. With the vision of maestro Jean-Sébastien Vallée steering their 2024/25 season, expect a lineup of groundbreaking performances, including standout collaborations with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Through its performances, educational programs, and community engagement, the TMChoir aspires to introduce audiences to choral masterworks from the past and present - making both renowned and lesser-known pieces available, accessible, and inspirational to all. Within the 160-voice TMChoir is a core ensemble of 24 professional singers known as the Toronto Mendelssohn Singers. The choir will hold its annual auditions in May and August of 2024 and invites all to join its dynamic community of singers.

North Halton Community SingersThe North Halton Community Singers, with some 65 amateur singers, started in 1971. Rehearsals are at the Acton Heritage Town Hall every Monday night and we perform at various venues in Halton Hills. The choir is led by music director Eleanor Wallace who has had a long and distinguished career as a music teacher in Georgetown and Oakville. Mark Peterson, a very accomplished musician, is our accompanist.

A non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers, the North Halton Community Singers is a registered charity performing a variety of musical genres, including classical, pop and folk, and from sacred to secular. It has performed at Toronto’s Roy Thomson Hall, the Mississauga Living Arts Centre, and also in Holland and Ireland.

Toronto Children's ChorusFounded in 1978 by Jean Ashworth Bartle, the Toronto Children’s Chorus (TCC) is a vibrant musical community that has been nurturing young voices for 46 seasons. Over the course of its history, the TCC has won numerous competitions and performed at such revered venues as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall, and The Dom in Salzburg. In addition to their busy annual concert seasons, our young choral ambassadors have represented Canada on 31 international tours and seven national tours, most recently performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City in July 2023. After 15 years of artistic direction under Elise Bradley, MNZM, the organization welcomed Artistic Director Zimfira Poloz in the fall of 2022 to lead this world-renowned chorus comprised of over 300 young singers.
