How truly marvellous is the human voice?

It is our first instrument. Its power remains unmatched to express feeling, to convey colour and tone. It is the ultimate inspiration for any instrumentalist who aspires to create a beautiful phrase.

For the 2013 edition of the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival, we present “Viva Voce: Inspired by Song,” a festive program that explores the profound influence of voice on instrumental music making.
