Jul 24-29. Toronto Summer Music. TSM Community Chamber Choir. Spend a week singing and rehearsing exciting works including The Chariot Jubilee with fellow choral enthusiasts! Written in 1921 by Canadian-born composer Nathaniel Dett, The Chariot Jubilee is a free fantasia based on the spiritual Swing Low, Sweet Chariot. Building on the original message of the spiritual, Dett wrote additional lyrics to make the cantata a hymn of hope and a call for a better tomorrow. Led by the Director of Choral Studies at the University of Toronto, Dr. Jamie Hillman and Rachael Kerr, piano.
