Join us as 82 of today’s brightest young classical musicians take to the stage and perform a new work by 2022 SOCAN composer Katerina Gimon and a repertoire of beloved classical masterpieces, including a performance by the 2022 Michael Measures first prize winner as a featured soloist. The 2022 Borealis Tour is the long-awaited reunion of NYO Canada, its new music director, Maestro Sascha Goetzel and the Toronto audience!

For more than 60 years, the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (NYO Canada) has been widely regarded as Canada’s orchestral finishing school and one of the best training orchestras in North America. Consisting of Canada’s finest pre-professional musicians, NYO’s legacy can be heard through the impact of their alumni, who comprise 40% of orchestras in Canada today!
