Music at St. Andrew’s is a community outreach program offered by historic St. Andrew’s Church in downtown Toronto. Our program was inspired by the church’s 2011 purchase of a Bösendorfer Imperial grand piano, which we share with the greater community. This magnificent piano is used extensively in our free, mostly classical Friday Noontime Recitals, which run from October to November and February to May. The 45-minute recitals are performed by post-graduate students and professors from U of T’s Music Department, by established performers and by rising young stars.

The 10th year of our popular recitals launches on October 6. Watch for “A Ceilidh Kind of Christmas” on December 8, headlined by St. Andrew's renowned professional choir and featuring a traditional Cape Breton fiddler and other instrumentalists. The lively, down-home program will span seasonal favourites popularised by the Rankin Sisters, the Barra MacNeils, Stan Rogers and others. Admission is free but donations will be accepted for our church’s Refugee Support program.
