The Kindred Spirits Orchestra (KSO) is a critically acclaimed auditioned-based civic orchestra performing at the Flato Markham Theatre, the Meridian Arts Centre, and the CBC Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto. In addition to performing concerts, the KSO offers several educational, community outreach, professional development and international cultural exchange programmes. In 2021, the KSO became the first orchestra in Canada to migrate to a fully digital library platform that permanently replaced paper-based music parts with iPad Pro tablets made available to all musicians.

Under the direction of maestro Kristian Alexander, the 2023/24 concert season features internationally renowned pianists Christina Petrowska Quilico, Daniel Vnukowski, Ludmil Angelov and Li Wang, violinist Jonathan Crow, and guest-conductor David Perez. Highlights of the season include Tchaikovsky‘s Symphony No. 5, Rimsky-Korsakov‘s Scheherazade, Shostakovich‘s Symphony No. 8, Bizet‘s Symphony in C, Bruckner‘s Symphony No. 3, and Honegger‘s Symphony No. 3 “Liturgique”, as well as five "rarities" by Stravinsky: Circus Polka (for a young elephant), Scherzo fantastique, Concerto for piano and wind instruments, Scènes de ballet, and Symphonies of wind instruments.
