The Waterloo-based Wayne Gilpin Singers is an auditioned (a singer-friendly audition, we promise!) chamber choir that sings a wide variety of music, including contemporary Christian, gospel, show tunes, spirituals and more. Resident composer/accompanist Andrew Gilpin pens unique arrangements for an ever-expanding “Jazz Messiah”, an annual event that twins Handel’s beautiful melodies with modern rhythms and musical styles. Also featured in concert are talented guest artists on bass, drums, saxophone, violin, and guitar, providing an unforgettable musical experience for both audience and choir.

The Choir comprises about 60 auditioned voices under the baton of Lynn Janes, noted music educator, soloist and prize-winning conductor, accompanied by pianist, organist and composer Robert Grandy.

Oriana Singers assists in the professional development of area musicians who are featured as guest soloists and instrumentalists, and through collaborations with other cultural organizations. The Jubilate SingersThe Jubilate Singers is a mixed-voice auditioned choir of 30-35 voices under the direction of Isabel Bernaus. The choir includes in its repertoire world music sung in original languages, orchestral choral works, and 20-21C choral pieces. We present three concerts a year, plus two community appearances. Our 2024/25 season will include a collaboration with the Wychwood Clarinet Choir and an Ontario mini-tour of "Roots and Intersections: Musical Traditions from the African, Jewish and Muslim Diasporas" with Denise Williams and guest musicians. We rehearse Tuesday nights. Interested singers are encouraged to sit in on a rehearsal and book an audition, if desired. Exultate Chamber SingersExultate Chamber Singers is an auditioned group of 30 skilled singers who perform a wide range of chamber choir repertoire, both a cappella and accompanied, including many works by Canadian composers. Enriched by its members’ strong musicianship, varied ages, cultural backgrounds, and academic and professional credentials, Exultate forms a passionate, committed ensemble.

Under the direction of artistic director Mark Ramsay, the choir presents an annual four-concert series. In addition, the choir commissions and records new works, collaborates with guest artists, and supports aspiring young music professionals with singing, conducting, and composing opportunities.
