Canadian Flute Association Summer in the City Flute FestivalThe first CFA Summer in the City Flute Festival brings 11 flutists from four countries! We welcome these spectacular artists, five of whom will make their Canadian debut. Guest flutists: Sergio Pallottelli (USA/Italy); from the USA, Christine Beard, Brielle Frost and Vincenzo Volpe; from Peru, Cesar Vivanco and Sini Rueda; from Brazil, Ayres Potthoff; and Canadians Christopher Lee, Louis Papachristos, Samantha Chang and Laurel Swinden. Supporting musicians include Christopher Burton (piano), Rodrigo Alquati (cello), Ryan Frost (percussion), Sean Bellaviti (piano) and James Brown (guitar). From Latin jazz to classical and chamber music, this highly anticipated event takes place from June 18 to June 20 in Toronto. Three nights, three concerts of incredible music. Westben Concerts at the BarnWestben offers up a multi-genre festival program in its 18th season, capturing performances of classical, jazz, folk, broadway, fiddle and fun! On the classical front, audiences will be treated to Canadian greats, including pianists Angela Hewitt and Jan Lisiecki, the Canadian Brass, the Rolston Quartet (winners of the 2016 Banff String Quartet Competition) and tenor Michael Schade. Jazzers will hear two-time JUNO winner Emilie-Claire Barlow while folk-fans will jump at the opportunity to hear 2017 JUNO Songwriter of the Year nominee Donovan Woods!  Keeping up the laughter, the Arrogant Worms will appear.

One of the premiere jazz festivals in North America, the TD Toronto Jazz Festival celebrates its 31st edition when it moves to the Bloor-Yorkville area this summer. Featuring an all-star lineup that includes Aretha Franklin, Joss Stone and Mavis Staples, among others, the festival has something for every music lover. Opening weekend will kick off with a special performance by Randy Bachman in the revived concert hall on Friday, June 23. R&B legend Aaron Neville will take the stage for a free outdoor concert on Saturday June 24. 
This year the TD Toronto Jazz Festival will play host to over 1,500 incredible musicians performing more than 100 free concerts. Stop by the Bloor-Yorkville area to catch the best in music from noon to 10pm each day from June 23 to July 2.
