2013 will mark the 20th anniversary of the Guelph Jazz Festival, which runs September 4 to 8. The festival has four main components: the main stage, showcasing Canadian and international artists in a series of collaborative performances; Market Square, a free open-air event in downtown Guelph; the Colloquium, featuring free educational workshops, panel discussions and keynote lectures; and the Jazz Around Town Series, with local restaurants and pubs presenting jazz bands in their venues. To round out the celebrations, the festival’s Nuit Blanche is a late-hours celebration with some 30 jazz-tinged art performances.
