Tafelmusik Baroque Summer FestivalMusicians from around the world gather in Toronto for the annual Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Festival with free concerts open to the public, featuring the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and participants of the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute. “Delightfully Baroque” on May 30 at Trinity-St. Paul’s Centre; “Musical Interlude” on June 4, “Many Strings Attached” on June 5 and “TBSI Orchestras and Choirs” on June 8 at Walter Hall, University of Toronto; and the Grand Finale on June 11 at Grace Church on-the-Hill. SweetWater Music FestivalSweetWater has a splash of maple for the 14th edition coming up this September. The OperaMuskoka Festival began in 2009 to provide young singers with an opportunity to train in and perform opera and classical music in the Muskoka area. One of the highlights of our eighth Annual OperaMuskoka Festival is Daevyd Pepper, one of our original young singers. He graduated this year from the U of T Faculty of Music with a Master of Music in Opera Performance. Daevyd is producing and will be performing in our opening night presentation of Puccini’s La Bohème on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. The festival now includes all the arts: vocal, instrumental, drama and visual artists.
