The Jubilate Singers is a mixed-voice community choir of 30–35 voices under the direction of Isabel Bernaus. The choir specializes in choral world music sung in original languages and reflecting the cultural diversity of Toronto. We present three concerts a year, plus free community appearances. Our 2023/24 season includes “The Power of Music” in November; a Latin American concert featuring Ariel Ramirez’s Misa criolla with Rodrigo Chavez and Sikuris St. Lawrence in March; and Aharon Harlap’s Requiem and the Fauré Requiem.
We rehearse Tuesday nights. Interested singers are encouraged to sit in on a rehearsal; experienced singers may then book an audition. Those who are not ready to audition may join our Choral Development program for additional training and mentorship. For details, please visit our website.
