Exultate Chamber SingersFounded in 1981, Exultate Chamber Singers is an adult mixed-voice chamber choir located in the heart of downtown Toronto. The ensemble is enriched not only by the strong musicianship of its members but also by their varied ages, cultural backgrounds, and academic and professional credentials. Together they form a passionate, committed ensemble with a wide-ranging repertoire.

Exultate was founded and led for 30 years by conductor and organist John Tuttle, and has since been under the direction of Dr. Karen Grylls (2011 to 2012), Dr. Hilary Apfelstadt (2013 to 2018), and its newest artistic director, Dr. Mark Ramsay.

The choir is a three-time winner of the Healey Willan Grand Prize in the CBC National Radio Competition and was most recently awarded first place in the chamber choir category of Choral Canada’s 2019 National Competition for Canadian Amateur Choirs.

In addition to presenting its annual concert series, Exultate has made regular appearances around Ontario, toured in Canada, collaborated with dozens of artists, released five albums, and enjoyed airplay on CBC Radio. Exultate is currently producing its sixth album, showcasing new Canadian choral music commissioned by the choir in recent years.

Mississauga Chamber SingersA New Sound in the City!

Mississauga Chamber Singers celebrate the transition from the larger MCS Chorus/Mississauga to a chamber choir bringing clarity and intimacy to great choral masterpieces.

The transition to chamber choir engages skilled singers within the choral ensemble, creating artistically dynamic performances with a widening scope of the classical choral music. In addition, this enables the choir to better reach the communities in Mississauga by becoming more flexible and able to perform in a wider variety of performance spaces.

Led by artistic director, Mervin William Fick, Mississauga Chamber Singers perform classical choral repertoire, from a wide range of A Capella works to timeless works for choir and orchestra.

The Mississauga Chamber Singers performs a diverse season of extensive community engagement events, multi-generational musical education programming and ticketed concerts. Come and hear the difference!

Canadian SinfoniettaFounded in 1998, the Canadian Sinfonietta (CS) is a chamber orchestra led by conductor and founder, Tak-Ng Lai in partnership with concertmaster and artistic director Joyce Lai. The orchestra is composed of 14-25 professional musicians who perform as a large ensemble and as small chamber ensemble concerts throughout the concert season.

The mission of the Canadian Sinfonietta is to attract a new generation of concert goers by presenting concerts that have a balance of traditional and newly composed or culturally interesting programs. Our concerts are both accessible as well as new and fresh. Our programs often feature interdisciplinary artistic presentations, multicultural music, non-western instruments and highlight diverse Canadian artists.

In addition to a regular series of professional concerts, the CS is proud of our Youth Mentorship Program. We have two youth orchestras: a full senior orchestra and a junior string orchestra.

CS is a community conscious group and plays an active role through partnership with local community groups. We are a recipient of the New Horizons Grant from the government of Canada which enables us to play an active role in the lives of seniors.

Mooredale Concerts 2022Returning after 2.5 years, our 2022/23 season showcases celebrated soloists, thrilling duos, and exciting ensembles. We will present all-composer programs highlighting the music of Vivaldi, Schubert, and Brahms.

The players: Cheng Squared Duo, Ensemble Caprice, Andrew Wan, violin and Charles Richard-Hamelin, piano, Mathieu Gaudet, piano, and TSO Chamber Soloists. Five-concert subscriptions are $200/$175 adult/senior and $125 under age 30. Concerts are Sundays at 3:15pm, Walter Hall (UofT) - general admission seating.

MUSIC & TRUFFLES KIDS – Give your child their first taste of classical music! Artists featured in our mainstage events will also perform a one-hour mini-concert for young people ages 6-11 and their parents, grandparents, friends at 1:15pm. Subscriptions $75 and include a Lindt chocolate truffle for everyone at the end of each concert.

Vesnivka ChoirVesnivka Choir is an award-winning women’s ensemble established in 1965 by founding artistic director Halyna Kvitka Kondracki. The choir has delighted audiences with its rich repertoire of Ukrainian classical, sacred and traditional folk music. Vesnivka, together with its partner the Toronto Ukrainian Male Chamber Choir, are often joined by local professional musicians and soloists. We are excited to return to a regular in-person concert season and look forward to bringing these performances to our audience. The first concert, on November 13, 2022, is a musical tribute to Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych, known for his famous piece Shchedryk (Carol of the Bells). On January 22, 2023, we will be joined by guest performers - the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus of North America - for our annual Christmas concert and together we’ll present a program of Ukrainian Christmas music to the accompaniment of Ukraine’s national instrument – the bandura. The third concert, “Spring Awakenings” on April 30, 2023, will feature the light romantic and dance music of 20th century Ukrainian-Canadian composer Ivan Bohdan Vesolowskyj, presented as a late afternoon social.

St. Michaels Choir School 2022Since 1937, St. Michael’s Choir School has served the Archdiocese of Toronto by educating and training the boys’ choirs that sing every weekend at St. Michael’s Cathedral. Founded by Monsignor J.E. Ronan, St. Michael’s Choir School is unique in offering both an enriched academic program, including extended French instruction, integrated with a lively ministry of sacred music. Choirs from St. Michael’s Choir School perform annually on tour and at many local concerts and events. During the school year, they sing three weekly Masses at St. Michael’s Cathedral. Li Delun Music Foundation 2022The Li Delun Music Foundation was established in 2002 in Toronto as a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting cultural exchange between the East and the West through musical events and named after the renowned Chinese conductor Li Delun founded the first symphony orchestra in the People’s Republic of China.

The foundation is now well known in the community as a presenter of high-quality musical events such as the annual “East Meets West New Years Concert” at the Toronto Centre for the Arts each year and recitals by acclaimed musicians. Aside from forming the Toronto Festival Orchestra, which gives talented young aspiring musicians a chance to work alongside seasoned professionals, the foundation also provides a platform for young up-and-coming soloists to play on the concert hall stage accompanied by a professional orchestra in front of a live appreciative audience.

The Li Delun Music Foundation also holds masterclasses and workshops given by internationally-acclaimed artists such as Lang Lang, Sa Chen, Haochen Zhang, Bruce Liu, Prof. Lee Kum-Sing, etc.
