Etobicoke Centennial Choir 2023Now in its 55th season, Etobicoke Centennial Choir (ECC) is an auditioned SATB community choir that enriches both choristers and audiences with inspired performances of diverse repertoire, ranging from classical masterpieces to contemporary compositions and popular music.

VOCA Chorus of Toronto 2022The VOCA Chorus of Toronto, a dynamic, auditioned ensemble under the direction of Jenny Crober, performs a wide range of repertoire (including Canadian premieres) in collaboration with superb guest artists. VOCA's season consists of concerts, cabaret fundraisers, outreach performances and workshops. Clinicians have included composer Ola Gjeilo, conductor Ivars Taurins and jazz vocalist Dylan Bell.

VOCA will feature a recently commissioned (and just published) work by JUNO-nominated composer Andrew Balfour, along with other contemporary, jazz and musical theatre selections at our "Shining Night" concert, with guests Colleen Allen, sax; Shawn Grenke, organ; and Jamie Drake, percussion. We will also be performing in Roy Thomson Hall’s Choir and Organ Concert series in April 2023. Rehearsals are on Mondays at Eastminster.

Oriana Womens Choir 2023Oriana is an auditioned ensemble of 24 amateur upper-voice singers who perform at a high artistic standard. The choir has a 50-year history, and this is our 12th season with artistic director Mitchell Pady at the helm. Oriana explores the possibilities in choral music for upper voices, collaborating with diverse artists to push the boundaries of typical musical expectations for upper-voice choirs. We foster the creation of Canadian choral music, regularly commissioning works from Canadian composers. In rehearsal we are focused but friendly, and maintain an inclusive, respectful and supportive environment. Oriana presents a three-concert series every year, and we welcome potential new singers to attend a rehearsal prior to scheduling an audition. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays, 7:30pm to 10pm in the Sheppard-Yonge corridor.

The Cummer Avenue United Church choir has returned to our newly renovated building at the corner of Cummer Ave. and Yonge St. Final work on the building, including the refurbishment of our three manual Casavant pipe organ is to be completed this spring. We are a group of volunteer singers, supported by professional section-leads, that provide strong musical leadership for Sunday morning worship services throughout the year. Vesnivka ChoirVesnivka Choir, award-winning women’s ensemble established in 1965 by founding artistic director Halyna Kvitka Kondracki, has delighted audiences with its rich repertoire of Ukrainian liturgical, classical and traditional folk music.
