A Celebration in Song!
The Elora Festival launches the 2013 season with a triumphant rendition of Verdi’s Requiem, in tribute to his 200th anniversary, with the Elora Festival Singers, the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and guest soloists. Other festival highlights include the JUNO award-winning Leahy, the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra performing with guest soprano Isabel Bayrakdarian, Russia’s preeminent Moscow String Quartet, the Jorge Miguel Flamenco Ensemble, Carl Orff’s ever popular Carmina Burana performed with Toronto’s TorQ Percussion Ensemble, former Barenaked Ladies frontman Steven Page, a choral celebration in honour of Britten’s 100th anniversary, JUNO award-winner Steve Bell, New York’s Sonic Escape and much more!
