20/21 is Cantabile's 25th season, the first for new artistic director Geoffrey Sirett. "Stories" offers five themed concerts featuring stories/poetry and eclectic choral repertoire to enhance the narratives.
First is "After the War" on November 7, words and music dedicated to remembrance and reflection. On December 18 and 19, Cantabile will present Dickens' iconic A Christmas Carol, accompanied by choral selections. On March 6, honorary patron and friend to Cantabile and its audiences Bob Chilcott will be in residency to lead the teen and adult choirs through repertoire he has hand-picked for them. On April 17, Cantabile's youngest choristers will present the culmination of a year-long project, with the children creating and performing their own musical story. On May 29 and 30, Cantabile celebrates its legacy with 25 works - one from each of our 25 seasons.
