VOCA Chorus of Toronto

Read Profile

The VOCA Chorus of Toronto, a dynamic, auditioned ensemble led by artistic director Jenny Crober, performs a wide range of repertoire, including Canadian premieres, in collaboration with a variety of superb guests. Our wonderful collaborative pianist is Kevin Stolz. VOCA’s season consists of concerts, cabaret/fundraisers, community performances and workshops. Several remarkable artists have joined us as clinicians, including composer Ola Gjeilo, conductor Ivars Taurins and jazz musician Dylan Bell.

VOCA's exciting 2026-27 season will open on Tues., Oct. 27 with a cabaret/fundraiser featuring our professional leads at SoCap on the Danforth. Our seasonal concert on Sat., Dec. 19 at Eglinton St. George’s (ESG) will feature an eclectic programme, presenting works from Renaissance to jazz, including a world premiere by award-winning Toronto composer Katharine Petkovski, with percussionist Jamie Drake. Our spring 2026 Cabaret/Silent Auction will be held on Sat., Feb. 27 at Cake Cabaret (Danforth/Pape). Our Sat., May 1, 2027 concert at ESG will feature Ola Gjeilo's stunning Dreamweaver with piano and chamber orchestra, along with a variety of other selections. We rehearse on Mondays at Riverdale Presbyterian (Pape/Danforth).
