Yorkminster Park Baptist Church is one of Toronto’s distinctive destinations for choral, organ and chamber music, and a venue of choice for many of the city’s finest choirs, ensembles and musicians.

At its heart is the church’s magnificent 101-rank, 5,731-pipe Casavant organ, regarded as one of Canada’s finest. From September through June, Yorkminster Park presents free Wednesday noon-hour organ recitals, featuring leading Canadian and international artists. On Tuesdays at noon, the Nine Sparrows Arts Foundation presents a complementary series of free chamber music recitals.

Under Organist and Director of Music William Maddox, Yorkminster Park’s acclaimed Senior Choir anchors a rich tradition of sacred music, including the “Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols”, “Carols by Candlelight” and “Passiontide Devotion”.

Yorkminster Park is also home to a 37-bell carillon, installed in 2023 and played by Carillonneur Naoko Tsujita. Its summer recital series brings guest carillonneurs from Canada and abroad to midtown Toronto.

With its superb acoustics, remarkable instruments and longstanding commitment to musical excellence, Yorkminster Park is both a centre for sacred music and an important part of Toronto’s wider musical community.
