Founded in 1894 by Augustus Vogt, the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir is proud to be one of Canada’s oldest, largest, and most recognized choral ensembles, renowned for over 130 years for delivering the highest standard of musical performance. Under the baton of Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, Jean-Sébastien Vallée, our 2026-27 season features two of Mozart's most powerful and mysterious masterpieces, Mass in C Minor and Requiem; our beloved holiday tradition, “Festival of Carols”; Elgar's rarely performed masterpiece, The Dream of Gerontius; and Johnson's profoundly moving and timely work, Considering Matthew Shepard, performed by our TMSingers.
