Read Profile

The famed ensemble - sought-after vocal soloists and instrumentalists - at the heart of our community in Toronto.

THE ANGELS AMONG US.

Under the inspired guidance of Daniel Taylor and Emma Kirkby, the Toronto Consort has been praised for their brilliant and moving performances. For more than 50 years, the Toronto Consort has been in the vanguard of early music and today cultivates a global reputation for excellence, innovation and dedication.

The Toronto Consort guests in the 2026-27 series include Voces8 tenor Blake Morgan, Les Arts Florissants' Paul Agnew and The Tallis Scholars. Our concerts feature the core members of the Consort, including Janelle Lucyk, Nicholas Burns, Kerry Bursey, Martin Gomes, Felix Deak and Ziya Tabassian in a repertoire that spans more than 1000 years. From medieval chants to Renaissance madrigals and folk songs, from the Baroque to music from this century, the Toronto Consort challenges common perceptions of classical music.

We are committed to equality of opportunity, diversity, and inclusion. We are proud to offer first-class side-by-side performance opportunities through our ambitious new Young Artist Academy. For our audiences, we offer a sanctuary away from the noise of the world.
