“Music is life itself. What would this world be without good music? No matter what kind it is.” - Louis Armstrong
North Wind Concerts celebrates chamber music of many kinds, with outside-the-box programming of repertoire from the European Baroque and Renaissance, and the occasional Classical and contemporary program. And through the music and Q&As of its “Chamber of Wonders” and “Encircling the World” concerts, NWC offers opportunities for delight and insight from Toronto’s richly varied musical community.
The 2026/27 season includes “Canis Familiaris”, a Baroque multimedia celebration of humankind’s best friend; festive preparations by the Musicians of the Egg in “By Starlight”; Beethoven and Berwald’s Septets for winds and strings in “7th Heaven”; a meeting of Korean traditional music and the French Baroque in “Chamber of Wonders”; a whimsical evening of music and words from 17th-century London in “Dear Diary”; and “Apollo’s Vengeance”, a lavish collaboration with Capella Intima and the Gallery Players of Niagara.
The 2026-27 season will also feature performances by the NWC Renaissance Band and musical workshops open to all. Stay tuned!
