Founded in 2008 by conductor Michael Erdman, our a cappella ensemble focuses on Renaissance and early Baroque choral music, giving equal time to secular madrigals and part-songs, and religious works. Since COVID, we have regrouped into a smaller professional ensemble, allowing us to extend our repertoire to the intricate music of the early Tudor period. Our two concerts in the 2025-26 season will include works by Fayrfax, Taverner, Ludford and Sheppard from the time of Henry VIII. The size of the ensemble depends on the voicing of the music – usually one per part. Membership is by audition.
