The University of Toronto Faculty of Music is a vital destination for the professional and scholarly study of music in North America. As part of one of the world’s top universities, the Faculty is home to a diverse and dynamic community of performers, researchers, composers and educators. With extensive academic offerings in fields such as classical and jazz performance, music education, composition, and history, theory and ethnomusicology, we also explore popular music studies, music technology and digital media, and music and health.
Our numerous ensembles and visiting artists provide all our students with practical opportunities to perform and to engage with a wide range of musical repertoire and research. We are thrilled to invite Toronto’s vibrant music community to enjoy many of these opportunities as part of our annual season of events including our free lunchtime series Thursdays at Noon featuring U of T Music faculty, alumni and special guests, master classes and presentations by distinguished visiting artists and researchers, major opera productions and student ensemble performances.
