Described as “wildly successful” by The Globe and Mail, the inaugural Kensington Market Jazz Festival debuted in style the second weekend of September 2016, when over 200 Toronto musicians performed over 100 shows at 9 venues in Kensington Market. Founder Molly Johnson and her team developed this festival to celebrate the neighbourhood’s cultural history, as well as Toronto’s world-class musical fabric of professional musicians. The festival is a not-for-profit organization committed to presenting live musical excellence. The 2018 edition will take place September 14, 15, 16, where KMJF will present over 400 artists, in over 24 venues - CASH ONLY at the door. This year we have some very exciting new venues.
