Roy Thomson Hall: Kathleen Battle - Underground Railroad, Sunday May 29

Five-time Grammy Award-winning soprano Kathleen Battle made headlines last month by announcing a new touring recital of hymns and spirituals, called “Kathleen Battle - Underground Railroad.” The tour includes a date at the Met—where Battle hasn’t sang in 22 years since her infamous dismissal from a production there in 1994. Before New York, though, Battle will sing her program at Roy Thomson Hall—and her singing has been world renowned since the 1980s, with good reason. To win a pair of tickets to her May 29 recital at Roy Thomson, which she will perform with the help of Toronto’s own Nathaniel Dett Chorale, fill out the following:

Canadian composer R. Nathaniel Dett, after whom the Nathaniel Dett Chorale is named, was born in Drummondville, Ontario—now a part of which Canadian city?

Contest deadline: 4pm on Wednesday, May 18. For details on the show, visit http://www.masseyhall.com/eventdetail/KathleenBattle.
