The OperaMuskoka Festival began in 2009 to provide young singers with an opportunity to train in and perform opera and classical music in the Muskoka area. One of the highlights of our eighth Annual OperaMuskoka Festival is Daevyd Pepper, one of our original young singers. He graduated this year from the U of T Faculty of Music with a Master of Music in Opera Performance. Daevyd is producing and will be performing in our opening night presentation of Puccini’s La Bohème on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. The festival now includes all the arts: vocal, instrumental, drama and visual artists.

Music at Port Milford2017 marks Music at Port Milford’s 31st year of bringing promising 12-to-18-year-olds with a passion for chamber music together with an internationally-renowned faculty to create an inspiring summer music experience. Huntsville Festival of the ArtsCelebrating 25 years of presenting top quality international, national and local performing arts concerts, the Huntsville Festival has planned a special celebration season for this July and August. The opening night gala features The Canadian Brass, who opened the inaugural season in 1993. Conductor Kerry Stratton and the fully professional Festival Orchestra, a mainstay in the festival’s earlier years, will return with two concerts. The eclectic lineup features Colin James, Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy, Jesse Cook, country star Corb Lund and ageless rockers Lighthouse, along with numerous other great artists.
