Now in its 15th season, the GTPO has become a unique organisation built upon a collaborative artistic model, a trusted partner for other arts groups and a showcase opportunity for young talented musicians. Under the baton of established conductors, and with the contribution of a select roster of guest artists, the orchestra continues to deliver a rich and challenging calendar of events within the GTA, an affirmation of its maturity and high artistic standards.

The GTPO is a full size orchestra of 50+ professional and amateur musicians who are committed and capable of handling an extended season and challenged to give their best performance in a demanding, supportive, non-competitive atmosphere. The orchestra rehearses on Sundays, 2pm to 5pm at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church.

GTPO’s 2022/23 concert season will feature a fusion of musical genres, styles and guest artists to form a celebratory 15th season. Acclaimed Canadian duo Michael Bridge (accordion) and Kornel Wolak (clarinet), Toronto’s renowned conductor David Fallis, guest conductors Oliver Balaburski and Lorenzo Guggenheim will be collaborating with the orchestra in a season that promises to entertain the audiences and bring out orchestra’s best performances.
