Amadeus Choir of Great TorontoThe Amadeus Choir is a semi-professional choir with 90 members from the GTA and surrounding communities. Each season, the choir presents a four-concert subscription series, in addition to performing with other choral and instrumental ensembles at concerts, public events, and benefits. Founded in 1974, the Amadeus Choir, now under the direction of Artistic Director and conductor Kathleen Allan, has become known for its professionalism, exceptional musicality, and diverse, high-quality programming.

For 2022/23, the choir will present a full season of live choral performances at a special subscription rate.

  • October 29, 2022: ‘Carmina Burana/Tubular Bells’ - Amadeus joins TorQ Percussion Quartet, the Bergmann Piano Duo, and the Toronto Children's Chorus for a choral experience like no other.
  • December 17, 2022: ‘Let Us All Be Merry!’ - Enjoy holiday favourites by Canadian composers with opportunities for the audience to sing!
  • April 2, 2023: ‘Vespers’ - Amadeus collaborates with the Guelph Chamber Choir to premiere new Canadian works and Rachmaninov's transcendent All-Night Vigil.
  • May 27, 2023: ‘Nîpîy's Songwalks’ - This finale includes the premiere of a new major work about Indigenous water sovereignty by Cris Derksen, with an immersive outdoor performance.
