True Colours: Let Your Light Shine!

May 5, 2024 at 3:00pm
George Weston Recital Hall

The Toronto Children’s Chorus’ spring concert marks the finale of a fantastic 46th season. "True Colours" celebrates the shared beauty and connection that emerges when we fully accept the unique thoughts, emotions, and characteristics that make each of us who we are. This program will feature an array of unique pieces performed by nearly 300 young singers from across the GTA aged 4-18, and displays a wide range of vocal colours and varying musical and cultural influences, including songs in French, Thai, Norwegian, and many more languages. The message found in the song True Colours aligns perfectly with our 2023-24 season concept, “Kaleidoscope: Let Your Light Shine!”.  After a season of exploring this theme through music, this song and this final concert inspire us all to embrace our authentic selves and shine collectively, much like the colourful shapes in a kaleidoscope.
