It’s hard to believe that a humble beginning – a graduate-school play with music by our founders in 1972 – would lead to half a century of concerts, tours, TV shows, Juno-nominated recordings, and the launch of a video-streaming service, Early Music TV. Our years together have brought countless moments of joy to audiences and artists alike, and we aren’t finished yet!
This season is filled with delightful new productions, like La Ruta del Sol Peregrino (a thoughtful and joyous exploration of South America’s sentimiento) and Winter Revels (we’re ringing in the New Year like it’s 1599!), and much-loved traditions, like David Fallis’ Praetorius Christmas Vespers. We welcome acclaimed Swiss ensemble Canticum Trombonorum in March for a rousing presentation of the Songs of Solomon with early brasses and soprano (a guaranteed treat for the ears), and in May, we present Alex Eddington’s world-premiere commission Celestial Revolutions (finally, after postponing it twice due to COVID restrictions).
Thanks to the unwavering support of our patrons and the dedication of our talented ensemble, we are proud to be standing together and inviting you back to Trinity-St. Paul’s Centre to celebrate our golden anniversary.
