International Resource Centre
for Perfroming Artists

2007- 2008 MEMBER PROFILES

A charitable organization incorporated in 1985, the IRCPA has a twofold mandate.

Bridging the Gap: The IRCPA provides mentoring to emerging artists in auditioning, wardrobe and business, and other appropriate guidance for artists to focus and fulfill their career goals in their early years.

Its Encounters With Employers program offers qualified assessment and direction; and business-oriented Career Moves workshops address challenges identified by the performers, managers, producers and presenters, publicists and arts executives on the Board.

Creating public awareness of Canada’s icons of the past and present and of the unique needs of our performing artists, the IRCPA is seeking to establish a Career Development Centre, including a Gift/Souvenir shop to sustain the Centre. The memorabilia sold to fans and tourists of Canada’s greatest singers, instrumentalists, conductors, and composers will remind us of the great contributions Canadians have made and are making on international stages.
