Choirs Ontario 2007-2008 MEMBER PROFILES     Choirs Ontario, founded in 1971 as the Ontario Choral Federation, is a not-for-profit arts service organization dedicated to the promotion and celebration of choral music. Our members include choirs, conductors, choristers, composers, arts administrators, and educators as well as individuals and businesses who share our commitment and passion for choral music. Our mission: to strengthen choral music and celebrate its power. Our vision: to be Ontario’s ultimate choral resource.   We support the growth and raise the profile of Ontario’s choral activities through a wide variety of programmes and services including; the Ontario Youth Choir, the VOCAL workshop for adult choristers, the Ruth Watson Henderson Choral Composition Competition, the President’s Leadership Award, an extensive choral library, reduced choir insurance rates, free concert listings on our popular website, and informative newsletters.
