Music on the Donway is an exciting new concert series which presents performers who entertain and educate their audiences. Concerts will feature classical, jazz, popular and world music, in order to celebrate the diversity of our society, and to contribute to the cultural scene of North Toronto. The music is performed in the fine acoustic of Donway Covenant United Church, rehearsal location of the Elmer Iseler Singers. Concert proceeds will support the church's growing music programme, which is under the direction of Daniel Rubinoff, the series’ Artistic Director.

The series opens with “The Dance of the Blessed Spirits”, a concert with music from saxophonist Daniel Rubinoff’s new CD. The CD and concert feature works for saxophone and organ with celebrated organist/pianist Chris Dawes of St. James’ Cathedral. There will be a special Valentine’s Day Jazz Night on Feb. 15th, and an appearance by the acclaimed Trio Lyra (Mark Childs, Suzanne Shulman, Erika Goodman) on May 10th. The series concludes in June with the eclectic, early music vocal quartet, Voyces Past.
