The Mississauga Choral Society is an 80+ voice, semi-professional choir that brings to the stage the major choral repertoire of the 16th to 21st centuries.  Now in its 28th year, MCS is the Resident Choir of the Living Arts Centre (LAC) in Mississauga where it presents choral masterpieces, regularly commissions new Canadian works and hosts outstanding Canadian choirs and guest soloists.

Artistic Director Chrys Bentley, now in his 26th year with the choir, has led MCS in its growth to becoming a choral group of professional calibre and recognized reputation.

The 2002-2003 performance season includes Popera with Opera Ontario at Hamilton Place and Centre in the Square, Nov. 28-30, 2002; Handel’s Messiah at LAC, Dec. 15, 2002; O Clap Your Hands!—Favourite Church Anthems and Solos at St. Dominic’s Church in Mississauga, Feb. 16, 2003; Lerner and Loewe Musicals with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at Roy Thomson Hall, Mar. 18-19, 2003; and the Berlioz Requiem with Chorus Niagara and Cellar Singers at LAC, May 4, 2003.
