Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, led by Music Director Jeanne Lamon, performs challenging and varied programmes and unique musical collaborations with some of the world’s most talented performers throughout the 2000/2001 season. 
 
Guest artists of the 2000/2001 season include Canadian fortepianist David Breitman in Mozart and Beethoven Quintets; lutenist Paul O’Dette in a programme of Italian and English works for strings; Karina Gauvin in Mozart’s Exultate! and violinist Monica Huggett performing the Mendelssohn Octet for Strings.
 
The virtuosity of the Tafelmusik Chamber Choir, directed by Ivars Taurins, is highlighted in Choral Counterpoint, a programme of masses by Bach and Zelenka; The Bach Dynasty, a programme celebrating J.S. Bach, his cousins and sons; and 3 performances of Handel’s Messiah at Trinity-St. Paul’s, followed by the rousing Sing-Along Messiah at Massey Hall.
 
Two new CDs feature the music of J.S. Bach: Coffee and Peasant Cantatas on Analekta and Bach Motets on CBC Records.
