The season includes a 3-concert tribute to Bach in the 250th year after his death: The Spirit of Bach, Mass in B Minor and Brandenburg Concertos. Guest artists include contralto Nathalie Stutzmann in The Glory of Handel and Malcolm Bilson, fortepianist, and Jean-François Rivest, conductor, in Mozart Masterworks. Conductor Hervé Niquet leads the orchestra in Boismortier: Master of the French Baroque and Andrew Manze doubles as conductor and soloist in Music in Venice. A Tafelmusik Feast and Vivaldi: The Red Priest feature Tafelmusik orchestra members as soloists. The Tafelmusik Chamber Choir and soloists join with the Orchestra in a concert version of Purcell’s King Arthur, as well as in the annual performances of Handel’s Messiah and the Sing-Along Messiah, to complete the season.
