Georgetown Bach Chorale
During the
2008/09 season the Georgetown Bach Chorale will be celebrating its much
anticipated 10th anniversary. The Chorale, a 20-member auditioned chamber
choir, performs a variety of classical repertoire with an emphasis on the
Baroque period. The choir is often accompanied by a period orchestra and
led from the harpsi-chord by music director Ron Greidanus. Highlights of the upcoming season are Handel’s Messiah
and Bach’s St. Matthew Passion. A unique feature of the choir’s
annual program is the intimate concerts that take place in a private home
followed by a lavish reception.
